What are the commonly used raw materials for thick sheet blister? What are its characteristics?

With the help of the air pressure difference or mechanical pressure on both sides of the sheet, it is deformed and laminated on a specific mold contour surface, cooled and shaped, and trimmed to obtain the required products.

Forthick sheet blisterThe commonly used raw material sheets mainly include HDPE, ABS, ABS TPU, etc. The following is a brief introduction to the basic characteristics of these three materials.

(1) HDPE (high density polyethylene) material: it has good heat resistance, cold resistance, chemical stability, high rigidity, toughness and excellent environmental stress cracking resistance. Main uses: 200-liter buckets, fuel tanks, pallets, large parts, yachts, blister tray covers, special packaging for most auto parts, etc.

(2) ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene plastic) material: it has good impact resistance, heat resistance, low temperature resistance, chemical resistance and excellent electrical properties, relative to HDPE is easy to form, product size stability, good surface gloss, better bearing compressive properties and so on. HDPE has more advantages in low temperature resistance, toughness and environmental stress cracking resistance. Main uses: widely used in automotive, electrical and electronic, office and communications equipment and other fields. In the field of packaging, it is mainly used for automatic pick-up items with high requirements for packaging size accuracy.

(3) ABS TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) material: It has a new type of plate with a layer of TPU film on the surface of ABS plate by adding a special co-extrusion process in the process of ABS plate making. The products made of this material have excellent mechanical properties of ABS and high wear resistance and tear resistance of TPU. The cost of this material is 2 to 3 times that of ordinary materials. Because of the high cost, the application of such materials is limited. TPU Features: Wear resistance When the material is often subjected to mechanical effects such as friction, scraping, and grinding during use, it will cause its surface to gradually wear, so the wear resistance of the material is very important. TPU plastic raw materials have excellent wear resistance, more than five times the natural rubber wear resistance, is one of the preferred materials for wear-resistant products, generally speaking, TPU has a high tear resistance, tear strength and some commonly used plastic comparison is very excellent. Main use: mainly used in automotive interior parts. In the field of packaging, it is mainly used for parts with high cleanliness requirements, such as engine, gearbox and other power system parts packaging.
