What are the commonly used raw materials for thick film blister? What are its characteristics?
 
   The principle of thick sheet blister processing is basically the same as the conventional blister process. The plastic sheet is cut into a certain size and heated and softened. With the help of the air pressure difference or mechanical pressure on both sides of the sheet, it is deformed and covered on a specific mold. The contour surface is cooled and shaped, and trimmed to obtain the desired product.
 
    The raw materials commonly used for thick plastic blister mainly include HDPE, ABS, ABS+TPU, etc. The basic characteristics of these three materials are briefly introduced below.
(1) HDPE (high-density polyethylene) material: it has good heat resistance, cold resistance, chemical stability, high rigidity, toughness and excellent environmental stress cracking resistance. Main applications: 200-liter buckets, fuel tanks, pallets, large parts, yachts, blister tray covers, special packaging for most auto parts, etc.
 
(2) ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene plastic) material: it has good impact resistance, heat resistance, low temperature resistance, chemical resistance and excellent electrical properties. Compared with HDPE, it has easy formation and product size. Stability, good surface gloss, better load-bearing and compressive performance. HDPE has advantages in low temperature resistance, toughness and environmental stress cracking resistance. Main use: Widely used in the fields of automobiles, electronic and electrical, office and communication equipment. In the packaging field, it is mainly used for automatic pickup projects of robots that require high packaging dimensional accuracy.
 
(3) ABS+TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) material: It has a special co-extrusion process added to the ABS board manufacturing process to make the surface of the ABS board covered with a new type of TPU film. Products using this material not only have the excellent mechanical properties of ABS but also the high wear resistance and tear resistance of TPU. The cost of this material is 2 to 3 times that of general materials. It is precisely because of the high cost that the application of such materials is subject to certain restrictions. TPU characteristics: wear resistance When the material is often subjected to mechanical effects such as friction, scraping, and frustration during use, it will cause its surface to gradually wear, so the wear resistance of the material is very important. TPU plastic material has excellent wear resistance, more than five times the wear resistance of natural rubber. It is one of the preferred materials for wear-resistant products. Generally speaking, TPU has higher tear resistance, and the tear strength is compared with some commonly used plastics. Very excellent. Main use: Mainly used in automotive interior parts. In the packaging field, it is mainly used for the packaging of parts and accessories that require high parts cleanliness, such as engines, gearboxes and other power systems.
